We are excited to announce our Indiegogo campaign, Planet Madagascar: Saving Lemurs through Film. We want to create a powerful film to educate people in Madagascar about how fire is destroying lemur habitat and what they can do to help prevent fire. The film will highlight fire management solutions that our organization, in partnership with local communities, plans to implement. Our broader goal is to find ways of helping people improve their livelihoods while saving lemurs and their habitat.

We need your help raising money to make a compelling educational film. Please visit our Indiegogo campaign site here to learn more and to make a donation:

The success of our Indiegogo campaign depends on your donations and on how much buzz we generate surrounding the campaign. More activity and campaign engagement means our campaign will become more prominent and gain more exposure.

Besides donating, there are many small ways that you can make a big difference to the success of our campaign. Will you be a mouse lemur, a sportive lemur, or an indri? Or maybe a hybrid of all three!

 Option 1: Mouse lemur

  •   Share our campaign regularly on Facebook and Twitter. More shares means we will be featured on Indiegogo’s home page and get more exposure! And don’t worry, we’ve got you covered—below is a sample tweet and status update. Just copy and paste, and don’t forget to link to the campaign website. Easy peasy.

As a volunteer/sponsor/support of Planet Madagascar, I am excited to let you know that this organization has launched an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to help save lemurs through film.

Planet Madagascar is a conservation, education, and community development project, aiming to promote lemur species conservation by building local capacity in communities in Northwest Madagascar.

Planet Madagascar wants to create a powerful film to educate people in Madagascar about how fire is destroying lemur habitat and what they can do to help prevent fire. The film will highlight fire management solutions that Planet Madagascar, in partnership with local communities, plans to implement. Planet Madagascar needs your help raising money to make this compelling educational film a reality.

Please take a few minutes to watch the video on their campaign page and learn about Planet Madagascar. You can help by donating and SHARING the campaign on social media. The more shares we get, the more likely we will be featured on the Indiegogo homepage, boosting our visibility and success. There are also lots of fun perks you can get, including a producer credit, a beautiful lemur photo, and an early digital download of the finished documentary.
